Brazilian party at The Open

Brazilian golf offers a cocktail to 300 opinion makers at the opening of British Open.  The event had the participation of Nick Faldo and Paul Azinger.   The Brazilian Golf Tourism Bureau (BGTB) and IAGTO promoted at July 16, at Southport Pier, in England, a Brazilian Night, bringing together the media, professionals, sport lovers and decision makers to promote Brazil.   This event is part of an agreement between Brazilian Golf Confederation and EMBRATUR (The Brazilian Institute of Tourism) to develop the golf tourism in Brazil. The Brazilian Night took place one day before the British Open, also known as The Open Championship, the oldest of the four main world tournaments of golf, with the biggest public and exposion. The tournament was at the Royal Birkdale Club, in Southport.   The Brazilian Night showed all the touristic potential of brazilian golf courses and presented Brazil in an extroverted way, highlighting the strong characteristics of Brazilian culture, the beautiful lands, and made this high level public be interested in Brazilian golf. The cocktail to 300 people had lots of “caipirinhas” (typical drink with “cachaça”, lemon and sugar) besides a battery of a Samba school and a Baiana distributing some “fitas do Bonfim”, typical Brazilian souvenir from Bahia.
