EMBRATUR consolidates golf as tourist product in Brazil

In the Caravan Projetc promoted by EMBRATUR, with national receptive tour operators and internacional tour operators, the golf is one of the most detached products.
Eduardo Sanovicz, president of EMBRATUR, detaches the importance of the actions that EMBRATUR took since 2003, with the definition of segments and products and the establishment of accords with serious and compromised entities with the development of the tourism in Brazil, like the National Bureau of Golf Tourism, that participated together with EMBRATUR at the IGTM (International Golf Travel Market) in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in december of 2003. In this fair, beyond the commercialization of golf as a tourist product, Brazil launched its candidacy to host IGTM 2006, in Costa do Sauípe - BA.
In 2004, the National Bureau of Golf Tourism launches the circuit 'Enjoy Brazil Playing Golf" the most charming and vibrant golf circuit in Brazil. "The circuit intends to bring national and international golfers to enjoy our wonderful country and to play golf in amazing golf courses with high and international quality", informs Christiane Teixeira, vice president of the Brazilian Golf Confederation.
